Day 01 : Guwahati – Shillong (140 kms / 4 hrs Approx.)
Welcome to ‘Green Triangle of the Northeast’ !
On arrival at the Guwahati airport or railway station (on your own), you will drive to Shillong where on arrival you will check in to the hotel. The rest of the evening is at leisure.
Day 02 : In Shillong
This morning, proceed on a city tour visiting Ward’s Lake, Lady Hyedri Park. St. Cathedral Church. Explore the local market for shopping (closed on Sunday).
Day 03 : Day excursion to Cherrapunjee (60 kms / approx 2 hour drive)
Today, proceed on a full day excursion to Cherrapunjee – the wettest place in the world. Return to Shillong, en-route visit Elephant falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views of the Himalayan hills.
Day 04 : Shillong to Kaziranga (325 kms / approx 7 hour drive)
This morning drive to Kaziranga National Park. On arrival check in to the hotel. The rest of the time is at leisure.
Day 05 : In Kaziranga
Early morning proceed on a safari into the Kaziranga National Park to view various species of animals and birds – Rhinoceros, Elephant, Indian bison, Swamp deer, Samber, Hog deer, Sloth Bear, Leopard, Jungle cat, hog badger, Capped langur, Goose, Hornbills and many more in their natural habitat.
Day 06 : Kaziranga – Guwahati (225 kms / approx 4½ hour drive)
After breakfast drive to Guwahati. On arrival you will Check-in to your hotel. Later in the afternoon visit the Kamakhya Temple regarded as one of the Shakti Peethams associated with the legend of Shiva and Daksha Yagna. In the evening enjoy a cruise on Brahmaputra river (on direct payment & subject to weather conditions).
Day 07 : Return home with happy memories
Today, ‘Green Triangle of the Northeast’ come to an end when you are transferred to Guwahati airport or railway station for your onward journey.
