Day 01 : Arrive Cochin
Welcome to ‘God’s Own Countyra’ tour !
On arrival at Cochin airport or Ernakulam railway station, you will be transferred to your hotel. Later in the day enjoy a half-day city tour of Cochin visiting the St. Francis Church, the Mattencherry Palace, the Jewish Synagogue and Chinese fishing nets.
Day 02 : On to Munnar (130 kms / approx. 4 hour drive)
This morning proceed on a drive through the picturesque countryside of Munnar. On arrival check into your hotel.
Day 03 : In Munnar
Enjoy a city tour of Munnar visiting the Christ Church, Mattupetty dam and lake. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax in the surrounding of your hotel.
Day 04 : On to Thekkady (105 kms / approx. 3½ hour drive)
Today drive to Thekkady (Periyar) from the land of area plantations to the land of the spice plantations. On arrival check into your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure to walk through the bustling spice market in the Kumily village or to visit spice plantations.
Day 05 : On to Alleppey (110 kms / approx. 4 hour drive)
Early in the morning enjoy a boat cruise on lake Periyar (boats can be hired directly), to observe wildlife in the Periyar sanctuary. Later drive to the idyllic backwaters of Alleppey and board your houseboat.
Day 06 : On to Kumarakom
This morning your houseboat will transfer you to your resort in Kumarkakom. The rest of the day is at leisure. Relax yourself in serenity of your beautiful resort.
Day 07 : On to Cochin (60 kms / approx. 2 hour drive) * Return home with happy memories.
Today, ‘God’s Own Country’ tour comes to an end as you get transferred to Cochin airport or Ernakulam railway station.
